Huge congrats to Katelyn — our in-house brow wizard — for becoming a finalist (and then casually taking out 3rd place in the world) in Brow Code’s Universal Best in Brows 2025 competition. If you’re not deep in the brow universe, Brow Code is basically the Olympics for brow artists — and making it onto that podium is kind of a big deal. What's the difference between a stain, hybrid and tint?

Tint
A traditional brow colour that mainly tints the brow hairs. It gives a natural result and typically lasts up to 4 weeks on the hair, with minimal skin staining after the first wash.

Hybrid Dye
A longer-lasting colour that stains both the skin and brow hairs. It creates a more defined, makeup-like finish and can last up to 14 days on the skin and up to 6 weeks on the hairs.

Stain
A skin-focused colour that creates a soft tint on both the skin and hairs. It provides more definition than a tint but usually appears softer and more natural than a hybrid dye.
